How much does event photography cost?

------------------------------------

Duration - Size - Complexity - Video - Charity - Location

All these factors change the cost of event photography. Broadly speaking London event photography should cost circa £700 - £850 per day.

Event photography in cities like Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool will cost around £650 - £750 per day

Event photography in places like Cambridge, Brighton, Milton Keynes will cost around £600 - £700 per day

Please remember, these costs will vary depending on the type of conference or event you have, what type of industry you're in and even how many events you have each year.

London Event Photographer Simon Callaghan Photography

------------------------------------

I photograph around 20 multi-day events each year, all over the UK and several in mainland Europe.  Photographing large events is huge part of my business and it's where I shine brightest.  I strive to deliver the best event photography, fast delivery and all with a smile on my face :)

Though I claim to be a London event photographer,  70% of my event photographs are taken elsewhere in the UK & abroad.

Event Photography from UK Venues

------------------------------------

Having photographed at over 150 conference venues, the list is enormous. But here at my top,  most frequented UK venues, along with link to events I've captured there.

QEII Centre, London

Being a QEII Centre photographer is superb. For UK conference photography, it's the single best. It's a fantastic space with high ceilings, natural light and it's at the heart of the London. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

ExCel London

The Internationally recognised East London arena plays host to an enormity of trade shows. Though a little less known is the large conference facilities it houses on the East end of the site. Photographing the ExCel London is not without its challenges, but like a moth to a flame, I keep going back!

Business Design Centre, London

Ooo that glass ceiling!  Those balconies! Photographing events at the Business Design Centre is the best!  It's like a photographer designed the space to take the best possible event photography. Brilliant space!

Olympia London

Another perfectly designed space; Olympia Grand & Olympia National are two excellently designed rooms, making for some beautiful trade show photography.

Church House, Westminster

Church House is HQ for Church of England and the former home to the House of Lords. The  beautiful Grade II listed building has been converted in part to a conference and exhibition space.  Photographing events at Church House is wonderful; every direction the lens is pointed has bags of character.

ACC Liverpool

The ACC is a fantastic conference centre in the heart of Liverpool's Albert Dock. Liverpool is a stunningly vibrant city and the ACC follows suit.  Wonderful place for Liverpool event photography.

ICC Birmingham

ICC Birmingham is enormous. Each time I'm hired for ICC Birmingham event photography, my step count goes through the roof!  On sunny days, the natural light floods in through the 5 story atrium and brings the place to life. ICC Birmingham photography is always a delight.

ICC Wales

Brand new and state of the art; this is a very exciting addition of large conference centres to the UK. My ICC Wales event photography experience was for a soft opening awards lunch for PCOs, and I can't wait to go back!

Glasgow SEC

On the banks of the River Clyde, the photographing the Scottish Events Campus is a joy! Rivals the ACC for friendly staff.

What makes a good event photographer?

------------------------------------

Quality Photography

Above all else, a good event photographer delivers high quality event images, constantly.  Your event photographs should be stylised, fresh, colourful and engaging.  It should immerse the viewer and make them wish they were at the event.

----------------

Quick Delivery

Events are moments to be capitalised on. Having ALL the photographs delivered during the event allows the organising committee to capitalise on all the momentum an event generates. Photographs delivered a week after the event is too late!  Get them the same day. We can move away from phone photos for twitter. Photography tech is quick - you can use the professional photographs within minutes of them being taken!

----------------

Boundless Enthusiasm

Ask any PCO or event manager - events are hard.  They're all encompassing. The onsite attitude is 'whatever it takes'.  An event photographer is part of the event team. We have to problem solve, think on our feet and please everyone who wants something.  It's important to stay positive and be as helpful as possible

I'm onsite through the entire duration of the event.  No time limits. No picture limits. No lunch breaks.  I'm part of the events team - whatever it takes!
